Clean Water Summary

This study utilized the following aerosolized pathogens:

Mycobacterium avium (non pathogenic Tuberculosis)
Legionella pneumophila (non pathogenic Legionaires disease)
Staphylococcus aureus (non pathogenic Staph)

High levels of the above pathogens were aerosolized and introduced into a contained environment
in 3 independent trials. Once electrostatically captured and contained within the body of water, the
pathogen deactivation rate was consistently measured as 99% effective in a single pass.

This study was performed by Dr. Mark Hernandez, PhD, PE, Principal Investigator, at the University
of Colorado at Boulder, College of Engineering and Applied Science
